On 96 f250 when ever I have a hard shift or hit big bumps I feel my t case hitting the cab and I can see where it’s been hitting. The trucks a extra cab. Has anyone else ran into this problem?
Sounds like the transmission mount is bad and your whole driveline is flopping all over the place, which seems to me like it would be a lot devastating than that, and your driveshaft would have certainly let you know it's dealing with some unusual torque.
I'm looking at mine right now and it's solid, doesn't move no matter how hard I push on it.
I'm assuming you have a married transfer case that sits directly behind your transmission.
Time to lift that cab put new bushings, bumpers, plus trans mount etc --- Energy Suspension kits aren't half bad ---doing one right now on one of my restoration projects.

I used the Energy Suspension Kit on my truck. I'm satisfied with it.
