So my tuner won’t work? I’m sure if it won’t then the reader autozone or O’reillys has won’t either?

I don’t have FORScan. But I can get an OBD2 adapter. My question is will the FORScan viewer or FORScan lite app for IOS read these BCM codes? I’m not really looking to modify anything right now

Yes. Forscan can read codes as well as a bunch of other bluetooth obd apps.

Forscan works great. I just used it last night to read my TPMS pressures. I was playing around with it some and read some PCM engine parameters, as well. I need to use it more often to be more proficient with it. I have used there extended license to make SCCM changes. It's all pretty easy to do. I recommend getting the "cable version" DLC connector. It has a MS-HS CAN switch and offers faster connection speeds for better communication. This is the one I have and others have used. There is a WIFI version, but I don't have any experience with it. I use the Torque app on my phone; with a Bluetooth dongle. They are fairly cheap and keep one in two of our vehicles.
