As mentioned by alloro, yes scan it for codes. On some of my older vehicles I do not worry about them till state inspection time. Depending on which state you are located they may allow 1 or more Monitors to be "Not Ready".
In Texas the state allows one "Not Ready" Monitor at inspection time. To pass inspection clear all DTC's, drive around till all other Monitors are Good (leaving the 1 failing Monitor in Not Ready status) and CEL not lit. Duck into inspection station and all is good.
