Knock on warm up??

i would like to follow up on my forum... good news problem is fixed, lifters were not it, timing curve was the culprit. decreased the inital timing to 6 BTDC because at 10 it would detonated while trying to start, then i decreased the timing curve with the vac advance adjustment, thanks to all your help
a special thanks to french town flyer... " try turning the vacuum advance adjusting screw 3 turns counter clockwise"

Is the source of vacuum for the distributor advance ported or manifold?

advance on the bottom of the carb above the blades
