Regen question

I hope this doesn't sound stupid, but how does one know when the truck is beginning a regeneration cycle? Thanks

when your fuel mileage goes to crap for 30-45 mins.

When you let off the fuel and coast, you'll see the turbo gauge rise. After a while, you'll just feel it

I've had this truck for over a year now and have 14k miles on it, filled the DEF tank a couple of times too, but never noticed it happening. Thought I was missing something.

I think I went thru my first regen this weekend and the only thing I noticed was my miles to E was dropping twice as fast as I was driving. For every mile driven, I would lose 2 miles to E. I'm coming from the first gen regen diesels (08-10) and this is smoother.
