what heater is suppose to be in the 48 thru 50 F1 or M47.
I have two ,a magic air and one with 3 doors on the front.
I think the 3door model is the correct one. am I right?
thanks Ron
Thanks Tim .I like the look of the 3door model better anyway.on your 48 is there a valve on the engine run by a cable for the heater .I dont have it. but heard it was on 48"s
Ron
Nope, nothing that fancy on this one - it was pretty well hacked up when I got it. Typical ranch truck that had been maintained true to the philosophy of, "what do we need that there thing for? the truck will still run just fine without it."
The only valve I have is the standard pet-**** type shutoff on the hot water supply at the head for summer operation; which is always open since I'm in N Montana....
THe "Ranco" valve is for the fresh air or Deluxe heaters with the air duct and the heater motor under the right fender. The "Magic-Aire was used in the 51 and later trucks. Majority of these trucks had the recirculating heaters (Ford or aftermarket)in them.
