Reverse Light Circuit Dead
I bought my truck (2011 F-350 Lariat 6.7 w/ automatic trans) used and the previous owner had auxiliary halogen reverse lamps wired directly to the reverse lamp circuit (no relay). I have since removed the halogen lamps and added LEDs and a relay, but the lights did not power on. The reverse lamp circuit is dead. I have checked fuse F70 and the reversing lamp relay in the BJB and fuse F15 in the BCM all are good. I have even disconnected connector C2280D and put power to pin 13 and the lights came on so I think that I have effectively narrowed it down to the previous owner doing internal damage to the BCM. Is there another circuit that is only hot in reverse that I can use to close the relay? I have priced a new BCM and I don’t want to pay that kind of money for reverse lights. I have the lights currently wired to one of the upfitter switches but I would like it to be automatic if possible. Any help that anyone could provide would be appreciated!
