Whatever you used in your search said your vin isn't valid because in today's systems the vin is longer. These "search engines" can't decipher older vins as they are only looking up newer vins. when looking up my truck before I bought it most sites didn't go back earlier than 80s and I think it's for that reason.

Thru 1980, FoMoCo VIN's have 11 digits. Beginning in 1981, VIN's have 17 digits.
Usually, online VIN decoders will not decode 11 digit VIN's.

N = Norfolk VA Assembly Plant.
X43476 = 1975.
ND is the fordifcation site incomplete with their serial #s listed? (I mean obviously cz I mentioned their site stops at x43000) but a few of their years jump around just wondering which years they have complete.
