Platinum vs Limited

Looking at a Platinum with the Platinum ultimate package added compared to the Limited. What does the Limited package include that is not in the Platinum with the ultimate package to make it $5,000 more? All I see is the 2 tone seats but with this big of a price difference there has to be more. I can build a Lariat and add the features included in a Platinum and be very close in price between the 2, why not on the Limited?

I don't recall the specifics, but you are right that there are some things included standard and/or available only on the Limited. The seats are unique (and actually very nice), the lighted sill plate is unique (USED to be on the 2017 Platinum), and there is the trivial such as the numbered plaque on the console.

There is a .pdf file of the 2018 Super Duty Order Guide floating around on the site that lists in detail what is standard/available on each model Super Duty.

on the 17s it included;

LED lights
power running boards
massaging 2 tone seats
illuminated sill plates
nicer (IMO) wheels
different grill
tailgate trim
chrome mirror caps
Different ***** on dash
Different trim (brushed metal look) throughout interior
Not sure if the Lariat has the black headliner like the Platy

plus several more

I didn’t see much of a differences between the two. My decision for choosing the Platinum was solely based on the Interior colors. The Limited’s two tone Brown/Beige interior was to much of a contrast when compared to the Platinum’s Brunel/Black. That’s just me.

According to the order guide there is not much difference between the 2 besides the color of the seats and the headliner. I guess that badge on the center console is the $5,000 difference. must be made of gold!

They cant make it the same price or they wouldn't have any demand for the platinum. Your paying for the "limited" quanity.

interior much better quality, along with the trim. different grill, different rims.
the vin # is engraved in the console, which I think is cheesy, but whatever. not 5grand difference. love my 18' 350 srw platinum shadow black with dark masala interior...
