Is it possible to program or set the front facing camera to auto mode? I have this option on my Lexus LX570... When I am driving into a parking spot or driveway front camera activates.
I think you are thinking way to logically about how to use all these cameras... I am sure someone sued Ford in the past because their front camera came on when they were parking and had an accident - and now we can no longer have a highly desirable feature of one of the 27 cameras that are scattered around our trucks.
If they did that, the next thing we might want would be the side mirror cameras coming on with the turn signals, or being able to set a default rear camera, maybe like the CHMSL camera when hooking up a trailer, or actually using the side cameras that look back down the side of your trailer while towing, oh the list goes on and on of what Ford could have done. In each of these I just assumed someone sued them and they don't want the liability -or- no Ford engineer or software programmer has ever driven a car/truck with cameras in the real world.
-end of minor rant-
to answer directly, to the best of my knowledge no one has found an "easy" way around all of these obstacles, there are some 3rd party camera solutions you can find in other threads.
i use mine to pull forward into my drive/parking spot all the time. trick is to not be moving too fast or it won't let you.
you'll have to reach over and hit the camera button before you pull in.
helps me center myself and also judge nose distance because i am limited on space.
@b-foster I am not thinking anything too logically or not lol... I only asked a simple question because my LEXUS LX570 has this feature available hence why I even ordered the 360 camera option on my King Ranch.
I understand that pressing the button prior to parking at a low speed will activate the front facing camera. My Lexus SUV does the same but automatically turns on when I am parking in my driveway. Assuming both cars have a similar system anything is possible.
I believe it is due to the lack of sonar in the front bumper.....my wife’s QX80 also comes on automatically. However if you mount a plow on the front of the truck the sonar would need some sort of shut-off device......here comes the lawsuits!😀

I believe we think alike when it comes to common sense and our Ford Cameras
