Brake light problem
Alright, just starting the hunt for this gremlin, problem is:
no left or right brake light.
yes to the following:
1. 3rd cbl works
2. Tail lights work
3. Both turn signals work
4. Hazards work
what I think I know.
3rd turn signal circuit is separate of rear assembly, but still energized by switch on pedal. This leads me to believe there is a relay energized by this feeding cbl and l/r brake lights , I need to find this relay. Could be a contact problem?
Turn signal interupts brake light signal (bl and ts are same filament)
Brake switch is a 2 pole momentary on. Jumped connecters and heard a relay engage. CBL lit up but not lft and rht.
I have pulled and inspected fuses. Turn signals wouldn't work anyway, same feed. Can't backfeed a short.
Possibility the MFS in the steering column?
