Thanks NumberDummy but I don't think that is the correct part. The holes are on the side of the head, not the front and back and the head is only threaded for a smaller bolt that goes through the flare fitting. See the previous posts where I had pictures. Am I missing something?

Parts catalog doesn't list location) and the head is only threaded for a smaller bolt that goes through the flare fitting. See the previous posts where I had pictures. Am I missing something?
I just posted what the parts catalog lists.

Thanks anyways I do appreciate it. From the previous diagram you listed it should be 9A487 for drivers side but I can't see the number for the passenger side.

9A487 is the basic part number for the thermactor check valve.

Yeah the check valve is what I need I guess since the part that screws into the side of the head is the bottom of the check valve tube.

You want the right (passenger) side check valve for a 302, correct? What year is your truck? 1975/77 is different than 1978/79.

They MUST have used those same heads on non-AIR engines at some point, didn't they? Seems like there'd be a block-off available from Ford (or was, anyhow). I'd think a short bolt and a thick washer, and maybe a copper drain plug gasket would be simple and clean. Not like there's much pressure on it -

Second thought, is the recess deep enough to tap a soft plug ( or freeze plug, or whatever the real name is for those) into the holes? That was what they did on the 335s and 385s, possibly those too?
