Removing Smog Pump
Do the hoses going to the smog pump need to be plugged to hold vacuum? If so then what are some recommedations and I want it to still look clean. Thanks for your help.

Since the air pump injects air directly into the exhaust, it seems like you would have exhaust blowing into your engine compartment if you didn't cover the hole in the intake manifold. Yes, you would have a vacuum leak if you didn't seal the vacuum hose to the diaphragm on the diverter valve.
