Headlights delay before lighting

2002 F250 7.3 4wd. Last night my headlights spontaneously started not working when switch was first turned on. Parks work just fine but when switch is moved to the headlight category no headlights (parks remain on just fine). About 30 seconds later headlights light and continue working with no problem. Went to dinner and when came back out exact same thing happened. When I got home I turned the **** on and off repeatedly and could not replicate the problem with truck warm. Our weather is about 50 degrees. Any ideas?

My F350 has done that for years, though intermittently...once every couple of months...and for only about 5-10 seconds.

Mine does it too, but it's only the cluster lighting that is delayed. Park and headlights come on immediately, but 5-10 seconds for the cluster to illuminate
