Headlights Flickering
As I was coming home tonight my headlights went in an out 3 times then come stayed back on until I got home. First thing I thought was oh no my alternator is going, but there was no lights on the instrument panal indicating this, or any interior lights dimming in or out. The only thing that was affected was the headlights, so could it maybe be something simple as a headlight switch?
Any help would be highly appreciated!

To go along with sfcwoodret's ideas, I'd also check the chassis ground connection from the battery cable to the radiator support & the headlight to chassis ground points.
Maybe the headlights power relay belongs on the suspect list too.

Seen this problem before on a Ranger about that age... check your headlight switch, then Check the turnsignal cluster... On the one I was looking at it, it didn't have headlight relays, the power for the headlights runs through the turn signal cluster (for High Beams) and the turnsignal cluster was burned up (visible "cooking" evident)... got a replacement at a junkyard, fixed it right up.
