Insurance co. totaled my limited 02 but can buy it from the auction, the damage is all exterior.
I purchased an 01 limited to replace it BUT it has that year dash, kinda old school mechanical heat controls..

Both 7.3 4x4 so mechanical is the same..

if I pull the electronic style dash and steering wheel from the 02 will it plug n play swap into the 01 or the harness and such different ?

 

NO, it will not. A lot changed between 01 and 02. So much, that this would be a very big job if you were to undertake it.

 

Well look on the bright side you (probably) have forged rods instead of PMR.

 

The Hybrid Electronic Cluster is completely different and requires alot of wiring to do.
