Now I'll have to try that on my truck... maybe it's "not a bug, it's a feature"? 
My 70's Mopars had an interesting alternate pathway which I can't quite recall 30 years later, but it was something like: brake lights on, 4-way flashers on, turn signal lever depressed - and the wipers and radio go on and off with the flasher!
