erratic ignition switch
A couple times over the past week; when I turn the key on my F250 - the starter won't engage. The radio, guages and warning lights fire up, but no starter. If I mess around with the shifter on the column it will eventually turn over the starter. It runs perfect for the next 20 or 30 times.
Is there an adjustment that can be made or is there some kind of limit/safety switch that will be needing replacing?

I haven't had to pull my column apart yet, but my 89 had all of the linkage that ran down to a switch at the base of the column. You can try looking under the dash on top of the column, usually held down by two nuts. If you loosen them, the switch will slid forward and back.
