Windows acting up

Windows acting up
So, the windows on my Ex are acting odd. The Mrs explained that some times they work, sometimes not. She said that if she opens the door, they would work again, then closed again would not.
So, I've taken a light tester and found that I have power to the front window drivers switches regardless of door position. After about 4-5 seconds of operation, the relay clicks, then nothing for about 5 seconds, even the backlight on the window switches turns off. Relay clicks again, and windows work a bit, then relay clicks, power off again. The door ajar light on the dash turns on and off with the power to the switches.
I get the same reaction with the other 3 door window switches. All light up and turn off at the same time with the relay. I've also swapped relays around. No difference. The only other odd thing that it does is, if I unplug both plugs from the drivers door switches, the relay goes crazy. Clicks like mad until I get them plugged back in. If i hold the drivers door button in the up position, the relay clicks like crazy too.
Any idea's as to my next step? I've checked everything I can think of. Any idea's would be greatly appreciated. I know there is an electrical section on the forum, but I know this one is pretty active. And it's and Ex, so i figured it couldn't hurt to ask here first!

Try broken/breaking wire in the loom between the driver's door and the chassis. These get flexed most and fail. Passenger side also goes. Picks of mine needing repair in my profile album. Drove me nuts for a while. Even bought new switches, ran extra grounds, etc. Fixed the wires - all's been good since.
