Another 4X4 On Craigslist

Decent truck, especially if you could talk them down to $3K. I need another truck like I need a hole in the head otherwise I would run take a look at it and probably bring it home.

The training I have received on this site tells me that this truck is pieced together. I like the look of it though. The box is wrong, the frame is too long and the taillights are not the same between the drivers and passenger side... stuff like that. I hope the registration/title is good considering the VIN is on the frame as the frame appears to be 67-72.

I'm going to say the frame is a '75 or '76 due to the FE engine, automatic tranny, and NP205 transfer case with the strut rod.

To me, that makes it a solid build of a Slick.

You are far more of an expert than I am with 4x4 stuff. My guess of 67-72 is based solely on the gap between the cab and box. I would love to have a slick 4x4 and have a decent Mercury parts truck to swap on a newer frame but then I would lose the VIN as Canadian cops and environmentalists pay attention to stuff like that. I have a 92 F250 4x4 that runs when the GM battery the po put in is not dead however, from what I have read the swap would not be as easy as the 67-79 frames. It is hard for me to justify the work as I am not getting any younger and all I want is a winter beater.

The Styleside bed is from a 1964/66 F100/250 2WD or 1966 F100 4WD

The right tail lamp is either from this bed or a '66 Bronco.

The left tail lamp with the backup lamp incorporated in the lens is from a 1967/72 F100/350, 1969/74 Econoline or 1967/77 Bronco.
