E-100 sway bar?

Does anyone have a sway bar on their e -100 pickup?
I am told they all came with them but most have been removed.
Why would anyone remove a sway bar on a vehicle that is all over the road anyway!!

They were optional, but standard on the Heavy Duty Econolines. The holes are there in the frame. They make a huge difference when going around curved.

Thanks, good information!
Does anyone make an aftermarket sway bar kit for this vehicle, or have one they are willing to part with?

There were two different anti-sway bars on the Econolines based on the year.
The 1963-1964 had the "straight arm" anti-sway bar.
The 1965-1967 had the "crooked/twisted arm" sway bar.

The crooked/twisted arm sway bar from 1965 -1967 will work on all 1961-1967 Econolines. The 1963-1964 anti-way bar will hit the brake lines on the 1965-1967 Econolines.

ADDCO makes anti-sway bars for the Econolines, but does not lis them on their website.
ADDCO 5606 front anti-sway bar
ADDCO 393 rear anti-sway bar

Folks have had success using the third-generation (1975-1991) Econoline anti-sway bars. You have to straighten out a bend in the bar, but they do work.

Bill, the Ford parts book lists only one because the latter one can be used on the earlier vehicles.

It does not work the other way around, but then you are dealing with used parts.

any one know of a source for one of these sway bars? looks like so far a 65-67 sway bar would work great, or an addco 5606 but none come up online. any help with finding one would be appreciated.
