My 2012 F350 was born with 3.55 gears, and I’m interested in a ratio a little less tall since I’m putting in a dump bed insert and will be doing more hauling...what’s the best route? Should I consider 3.73, or go right to 4.10? I’m running 35s currently, and yes, it’s an SRW.
Can you give us a little more info with what you are going to do with it? Are you going to have a piece of equipment hooked up with the bed loaded? Are you going to be pulling/hauling just locally or are you going to be making long trips on the interstate?
The upper trim trucks come with 34.1" tires, and a 35's true measurement is usually in the 34.6" range. So even with 35's, the payload is only so much, and if you are just hauling, I couldn't imagine the 6.7 really needing a deeper gear.
