Metal vin code tag needing to decode please?
Don't know what the 26 yyywf257 4 decode to.
I know the rest.

Looks like the YY and YW reference the exterior paint colors. Truck must be a two-tone, eh? And the F257 matches the "TYPE-GVW" code on the jamb sticker. I think that's just a repeat of the F25 in the VIN, which refers to the model and cab/bed config.

C5 is 4.10 limited slip rear end.

If you put the VIN numbers in the Ford VIN decoder it'll tell you more.

Thank you for the information.
I knew about the vin decoder but didn't understand what the other numbers were for.
The 26 and 4 are still a puzzle to me?

Curious as to what you do in Terlingua. I raced a motorcycle Enduro there in 1981. No one finished. You probably know why.

We've got a winter residence in Terlingua...it's Offgrid on one of those challenging tracks that pass as roads.

I still ride Mtn bike and I understand why you might not have finished the enduro. My 93 F250 is in constant need of repair due to those roads. I bought a Raptor last summer and even that gets challenged.

I like the Raptor. It could never go the places where the virgin course was. No roads and lots of mountain passes. Dangerous stuff and it was a State Championship event and never held there again. Plus it was snowing. (:. Enjoy down there, it is so different from these rice fields. Such a Beautiful place. Sandy
