Has for trade in value, I keep my vehicles that I buy new, 8 to 10 years, so not a big factor. I am leaning to paying the $850 for the XLT badge just for perceived extra value. What is $850, on a $47,000 truck that is equipped 'exactly' how I want it ? This is a great site! Thanks for the input
$7940 vs $12,894 trade in 10 years later is a huge factor to me.
$13,000 trade in for a truck only 10 years old is zero value. I wouldn't sweat it. $8000 nothing vs 13,000 nothing, when your next truck will be $10,000 more total than the current one. Trade in value is a joke. Might make more ripping the truck apart and ebaying it one piece at a time.
I would have kept my 2008 forever, if it's body wasn't a rust bucket.
I have a 06 F350 that is like new. Don't use it in the salted roads if I don't have. If I do, I immediately pressure wash it, then put it in my heated garage.
XL resale value gets dinged because of the fact most are fleet trucks.
STXs and loaded XLs are in a different boat if you find the right buyer.
I agree and hope your right on the STXs (see my sig). 17 was the first year of SD STXs. We'll see what the future holds. Regardless, I love my STX and have no buyer remorse.
