Should be a quick fix soon then for yours. That part is available so they should be able to get it quickly. Me dealer got mine by the next day. Also got your email with the fuse box pictures, thank you. I'll bet the part number is underneath so now worries, hopefully mine will get fixed this week.

Ok Ford is really pissing me off now. I just heard from from the dealer today and they basically told me take it or take it.

They sent me the same canned message Ford sends that someone posted earlier saying engineering is looking into it but there's nothing that can be done.

I'm considering not accepting it and talking with an attorney to cancel the whole thing or I could just accept it knowing I don't have a TBC so I can't tow anything heavy and hoping they fix it soon.

This second option also gives me a chance to start making a ton of noise on Ford and national TV show's Facebook pages plus local TV stations regarding Ford selling defective trucks. That might make them find a fix quicker. I'll figure it out tomorrow, I really like the truck but I also don't really need it if I can't tow with it. Oh well...

Who would have thought that a simple email would do the trick. I'm sure it's the wording I used versus the email itself but I sent that email last night and this morning I got a call from the office of Ford Executive Director of Customer Service telling me that they had contacted the dealer and told them what part to order and to cover it all under warranty !

I texted my dealer and they said they received the info and it's all in process. We'll see when they get the part because I'm not accepting the truck until it's ready.

This is why I would not even consider the IBC.
Aftermarket Prodigy has worked for me for years.

Plug in a factory one and your done too, plus it's cheaper, plus now it's covered by the factory warranty.

This issue with the 2018 is a fluke.

TBCs don't go bad except for when you need to use it. This last weekend we were going to go buy some pipe to build some trusses and we couldn't go because the controller in my neighbor's F250 went bad.

** UPDATE : I forgot to add that I have a Prodigy in my Tundra so that's why I felt so confident when I made these remarks.

Dealer just texted me that the part should be here in 2 or 3 days so I expect to have my truck FINALLY before the weekend. Unless something negative happens before that I should be posting great news here by then.

Just picked up my truck. They replaced the entire fuse box and everything is working correctly. Total cost $139 for the 2018 TBC. I could have gotten it for $99 at Fairway Ford but I wanted to get the dealer going on the issue so I bought it from them. They installed it and flashed whatever had to be flashed, and got it all working on Ford's dime plus now the TBC is covered under the factory warranty just as if I had ordered it factory installed, but cheaper. The thing that took the longest was the new fuse box that took a week to get here. After that 1 day to install everything.

Awesome, we both have working trucks now. If anyone is still waiting for a fix, read this thread from start to finish and you should get all the information you need to get it resolved. It looks like Ford is finally realizing that owners now know how to fix it so they're authorizing the dealers do it.

For those still waiting, I just found out about this :

"...JL3Z-14A068-E fuse box has recently been put on an order restriction - dealers can only order 1 per week until Ford gets more stock. There's currently just a little over 100 pcs in North America - 102 in Toronto, Canada and 13pcs in Michigan...."

I guess Ford customers are really getting tired of waiting and Ford needs these parts to keep building their truck orders. They also might be sending the stock items to those who make the most noise. Very happy I got mine done just in time.

Just a simple red truck. These pictures were at the dealer a few weeks ago before they did the bed spray in liner and window tinting at the dealer. I'm going to darken the headlamps just a little so they look like the smoked ones on the sport trim and so they don't stick out so much. Even though they are already smoked I'm also going to darken the rims a little for the same reason. They're 20" rims and look great covering up that wheel well but they stick out too much. Researching Plasti-dip for that since it's removable. There are also other brands so I'm reading up on all of them before I buy anything.
