Hello guys, I really want to replace the headliner in my 2000 F250 XL. It hangs down and touches my head and drives me nuts. It can not come completely down because of the stuff mounted to it. Do you guys know of a good source for such?
We had a mini van that did the same and if I recall correctly a mobile repair/replace guy was not too expensive but we never fixed it as it blew a head gasket and was junked.
Once you remove the interior pieces which most just snap in, the headliner will come right out . You can buy new fabric at a Upholstery shop or a fabric store and attach it with fabric glue from a spray can

Exactly! My wife and I have done dozens of them for customers over the years. We would go to a auto upholstery supply company in KCK and purchase headliner material that closely matched the original material. We used 3M spray contact cement. Never had one come back and never had a upset customer. It's not that difficult. The main thing is to get all that foam off the old headliner panel and make sure it's clean. Spray both the panel and headliner. Start from the middle and work your way out to avoid wrinkles and you are done. It generally takes longer to remove the panel than it does to re-cover it.
