Thank you for the question.....I have Sync 2

This is what I know I did.......performed back up of As Built, opened APIM and changed digit in 7D0-01-02 to the number 4, pushed the buttons when asked if changes wanted to be made.

So, after reading your question, I may have missed something?

I read over the instructions a number of times but am very well aware I could of missed something.....

Thank you!!

Yes, You missed A LOT!

Go here; https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?usp=sharing

Click on the tab at the bottom that says "add nav to sync 2" (you might have to scroll to the right on the tabs)

Follow those directions.

Thank you for the feedback jdunk54nl !!...(and your patience) , originally I did read the information but did not connect it with the over all install, my bad for not "following directions". I made an assumption that it was easier than all the steps and thought it was only in the Forscan side. Now, that being said, I did download the three items ( Sync 3.8, Nav, and the patch) onto three separate jump drives. I went into each one and performed the format to FAT32 and installed the information on each drive individually. This is where things get interesting...I put the usb drive into the port under the arm rest of the truck (which is next to the same place the Nav A8 goes). When I try to install the update a warning came up that the truck (I'm thinking the sync system) is unable to retrieve the data from drive, so, if I can ask another question...Do you think I have wrong usb drives, or.....?

Did you follow this update procedure?

https://owner.ford.com/how-tos/sync-...r-vehicle.html

The screen might be grayed out but you can still read it. When I put in my truck's info it took me to a different page so be weary of that.

Hey Team,
Sorry I've not gotten back in such a long while, haven't had the opportunity to get back into this issue with my rig. According to recommendations during the process of adding navigation I am to upload three separate files to the Sync system. Ive been given links to websites that some of you have pointed me to and inside there are large numbers of files to browse through. I open the link, open the file and.....bam!.....tons of more files !! Can anyone narrow down which three files are the ones I need to load?
Thanks

WELL HERE IT IS !!!!!!
I have finally successfully installed Navigation on my Sync 2 system and everything is working wonderfully ! I found that the instructions in the previous comments in this thread and attachments were not entirely accurate. But after some perseverance we are fully functional. Thank you to everyone of you that helped !
