bumper swap
has anybody done a bumper swap? specifically the chrome bits for painted?
how difficult was it to swap all the little parts?
I am looking to paint match my bumpers and thinking I will just get the 3 pieces required.

I bought new paintable bumpers from the local dealer and swapped all the parts small parts over after they were painted. Prob took me 3-4 hrs to swap them out. Not that hard of a job just be careful with the rear bumper pad.

looking at the parts fiche; it looks like there are many parts and it will be a tedious process.
my plan is to buy the 2 paintable sides for the rear and new top caps, the front paintable section and top cap. then have them painted and clear bra wrapped, then do the swap.

The bumpers costabout $650 and paint cost $500. My local body shop gave me $400 for my chrome bumpers, so the swap only cost me around $750.
