Console to "Bench" Conversion
Just looked and my window sticker finally showed up online. Window sticker is showing 40/Console/40...Ugh. Went to dealer yesterday, Saturday, but my salesman was not there.
I'm sure the dealer will likely just want to switch out the console for seat.
My questions...
1. Are there any visible indications that the switch was made. I'm assuming you can tape off the outlet wires and hide. What about the duct work for the rear HVAC? Will that still be visible? I'm not sure how it is routed when a console is installed.
2. The truck will likely (isn't delivered yet) be certified for 5 on the sticker. Does adding a seat result in any increased exposure regarding this in the event of resale or an accident if someone is sitting in it?
I've seen some discussion on adding the console but haven't really seen any discussion on adding the "bench" on a '17. Or is it better to refuse and reorder.
