DIY Splash Shields/Fender Liners

I'm going to make some custom rear splash guards that are an upgrade over the original pieces. I'm looking for suggestions of what materials to use that would be similar to the front guard material - flexible but holds shape and resists rock impacts.

Black ABS is pretty tough and affordable, but may be too rigid. Does anyone know of a good material that would work any better?

Get a set of JY (junk yard) FRONT 78/79 plastic fenderwell liners and after a little trimming you should be ok. Advanced search for it, there is a thread some where in this forum.

I think I actually started a thread about using fronts for rears months ago. I wanted to see a pic of what they looked like on the truck before I went through the trouble. I don't really have a JY nearby.

I cut come patterns out of cardboard to use on some flat material, if I could find what I am looking for.

Matthews

At least that guy had a 76 on his books, but no idea about inner fenderwell liner.
That guy said to try:

Springers Auto Salvage.
1500 US-84, Laurel, MS 39443
Hours: Closes soon: 5PM ⋅ Opens 7:30AM Tue
Phone: (601) 649-4238

The Matthews guy also said to try closer looking to Jackson, Pearl, Flowood for more junk yards.

Fender well liners (Ford: splash shields) were introduced in 1976 (D6TZ-16102-A Right/D6TZ-16103-A left) as standard equipment, could be retrofitted to 1973/75's.

Also found on 1978/79 Bronco's.
