Guys
FINALL pulling the trigger on getting my Injectors. It's been years since I've wanted to get them but life happens and set backs occur.
NEW ALLIANT A.C. code injectors for 1600$
Hopefully everything will be ok like the vc gaskets, harness ,wires, cups mainly.
but I do want to install new injector hold down bolts. Especially after hearing people talking about them coming loose after installing new injectors.
is this recommended going with new bolts. If so dose anyone have a part number and or anything else I should have on hand just incase or perpair my self for ? I'm at 298000 on my odometer
Is it the consensus now to replace hold down bolts when replacing injectors? A hot torque is no longer considered sufficient?
Mike
Hot torquing the injectors would require you to install and torque. Then get the engine to operating temp and retorque while the engine is hot corect ?
Forgive my ignorance.
Also i searched through the forums
Any one got a good link to replacing injectors ? Would like to refresh my memory and read back through one.
