I ended up buying a stack and putting it on today. Like someone said it had to be tastefully done and I believe it was, just a single stack skightky offset to the passenger side of the truck about almost flush with the top of the rear window gloss black. It looks cool, sounds pretty cool but then again I'm in the honey moon phase with the stack and will probably get annoyed and take it off in a couple months. Either way I see as I had my fun, and good expierece to have. Thank you everyone for all your replies.
I personally do not care for them but I am usually 15 years older than the folks that have them. I need but will not get a tool box for the simple fact that it takes up space and you should see the load of crap my wife and kids pack for camping. I would love to get a canback soft-shell camper top for the truck but 2 grand for that is kinda difficult to come of of.
I think of a vehicle as a canvas. Make it yours, make it unique, and of course practical for you needs. Someone here on FTE has a sig that says "stock is not an option". I couldn't agree more. I never have and probably never will. Even if you can't see the options added.

Better post some pics
Not a huge fan, but if I was going to install them they would be black
You could be really unique and put a rain cap on it

same here.. id like to put a small auxiliary tank in my truck and have stacks.. but with having 6 3/4' bed i dont need to lose the bed space.. (even if i had the 8' bed i still wouldnt want to lose the sq footage) if i had the time, money and not alot of accessory's already mounted to the frames i wouldnt mind doing what i saw a dodge guy did. which he brought the stacks up between the inner bed side and the outer fenders.. Had the body shaped to make it look like it came that way so he didnt lose functionality of the truck. problem with doing it on mine is id have to relocate the filler neck since thats where the stacks would be coming up. because of all that i wouldnt do it on mine.. but still wish i could have it..
Here's a couple pictures. It blends in with the truck pretty well and really isn't that loud as long as I don't have the bsck window open. Its kinda twisted wrong and leans back a little but I'll fix that this weekend and maybe put it a little higher up but besides that I'm so far pretty happy with it.
Do you get any exhaust in the cab when you open the back window? I wonder if you will if you raise it up more...
If I just open the back window I don't really get any exhaust in the cab at all, if I have the back window open and a front window open then I'll get a littke bit if exhaust but nothing too bad.
Take a 8-12 hr road trip with a open ezh at the cab will tell the story,i used to run a few pets with 6" guns and 425 cats with jakes, could hear the jakes half a mile away if cond just right, after several long trips they get old and seem louder,so loud in fact some areas banned jake brake use by big trucks.

I don't doubt it, I haven't been on the highway yet or anything but if anything I enjoyed the stack for a while and I can take it off and go back to a normal exhaust whenever I want without a whole lot of work. Happy I experienced it anyway.
