Too good to be true? Bagged mini truck
What's up everybody, new boots on town, and I currently have a non-running 89 ranger xlt which I am looking to drop a 302 into. Found a moor and auto trans for 450 but I have no engine crane or space to work so the project is at a stand still.
Enter my brother with a local post about a 2nd gen ranger with 302 and manual trans (which I prefer). It's supposedly running and driving, so I plan on making the 45 minute drive yo check it out soon. But there are a few hiccups.
The 2nd gen needs a bonded title, bed reinstalled and tail lights wired. Truck is bagged with leaf springs deleted. From the pictures the welds look good, the lines look good as well, and from what I've gathered by cross referencing pictures, the pump (or 2 of there's another on the other side of the truck like I'm thinking) is a viair 200 psi.
With the guy selling the truck for 1k I'm skeptical. Seems too easy. But then again, not 100% into the bagged mini truck scene yet, so I don't know what they go for, but I dig this one. Btw his excuse for selling it is that they have too many bagged truck projects going at once.
So basically what I'm asking is, should I abandon my beautiful first gen for a "finished" 2nd gen?
