Which transmission does the E350 15 passenger V10 use?
4R100?

It is time for a transmission flush and I want to know if has a filter in the trans.
Rock Auto shows one but I'm not sure which trans it has.

 

2002 E350 should have 4R100.
Count the pan bolts, 4R100 has 20
4R70 has 14.
4R100 pan is shaped like Utah, 4R70 like a fat baseball home plate with the top point cut off.
Each one has a filter in the transmission.

Thanks. Ford says I need fluid flushed. 2002, with 58,000 miles.
Must be time.

 

The 4R70W was never mated to a V10. It has the 4R100.

It does have a filter, and that filter doesn't need to be changed until the trans is rebuilt. If you decide to change it anyways, it requires a 4x4 filter regardless of what the parts store lookup says.
