I decide today was a good day to do fuel bowl seals. That went really well I think. What didn’t go so well was putting everything back together. I couldn’t get my hands in the right place to line up the front fuel line (goes to the driver side rail I think). Anyhow I stripped the thread on the fuel line and I’ll need to grab another. Need a quick fix, so regrettably it’ll have to be Napa, O’Reilly etc. anyone got good recommends, past experiences or just tips on how not to screw it up again
I've liked NAPA quality for the most part. I'd make sure you leave the bowl itself loose so it can move a bit while you try a reconnect everything. Once everything is connected then you can tighten everything up.
Did you loosen the power steering pump bracket? When I replaced my fuel line seals I removed 3 of the bolts and loosened 1 so that the bracket could rotate out of the way a little bit. That made it easier for me to do.
Remove everything fuel line related. Install 1/8npt to male AN fitting. Then, use the post filter port and install the AN fitting there. Get a T AN fitting to split your new braided fuel lines, to each head
I got this sorted today. I took most advice given, but couldn't seem to garner enough info with time I had to switch to braided lines. However, I have tow new fuel lines, bowl seems to be good and *** dyno says there's a little more poke. I followed various methods from the net.
Good points: removed spider, slackened bolts on power steering mount, glad I had EBPV delete as I could get my arm underneath and behind to attack the passenger fuel line area.
Bad points: ****ty areas to work in and hands full of more scars lol
