What can I use to clean some grime off? I put some “wet tire” tire shine on them and I want it off but it’s tough to get off.. any suggestions? The cleaner looking tire is one that I just wiped hard with a towel but took forever to do...Engine degreaser totally awesome cleaner???
The best thing to use is Brillo. It's going to take 3 - 4 per tire and you may have to do it twice but without question it will make your tires look like no one else's. Be careful when you get close to the wheel or you'll scratch those beautiful chrome rims.
Agreed. I'm picky when it comes to wheels and tires. I find after about 3 - 4 cleanings using a scrub brush, you get down to the fresh rubber. Once you're there, it stays fresh with regular cleanings.
I scrub my tires with Commet Cleanser and a scrub brush every time I wash it. Cleans that brown road grime right off with about 30 seconds of scrubbing. Learned this trick back when white wall tires were the thing.
