77 F150 axle is going to be 5 lug...and your 87 F250 has 8 lug front/rear axles...are you planning on doing as steering knuckle and spindle out swap from the 87 to the 77 axle to keep 8 lug front?
I know you can take a 79 F150 (1/2 ton 5 lug) D44 and put 79 D44 F250 steering knuckle and spindle out parts on it and make it a 8 lug.
If the 87 knuckle spindles and other parts would swap directly to the 77 axle I would love to do that because the 87 has new hub/rotars bearings brakes and brake calipers. I know my brake hoses would need to be longer with the straight axel.
I think the F150 D44 had smaller ujoints than the F250 D44HD (at least in the 70s) and therefore I think the knuckles probably have a different spacing. The spindle out should have also been different due to bearing sizes. Possibly the spindle out could be replaced but you would have an inner and outer axle shaft u-joint size dilemma unless they are indentical. Outer shaft length might also be an issue.
My nephew bought a 79 F150 with 8 hole wheels so it can be done but I don't know what year parts or how deep they had to go. My guess is they used an F250 light duty spindle and it all just bolted on. It wouldn't be hard to just pop a spindle off each axle and see it they bolt on the same.
I'm going to guess the HD stuff isn't going to mate up to the light duty F150 stuff. You would probably be better off getting an F250 HD straight axle from a 77 1/2-79, or better yet one from an 80-97 F350.
