Question

Trans swap

Hey guys new here I'm looking at a 95 f350 7.3 and it's automatic I was wondering if I could swap in a 5 speed from a 94 f250 with the 351w in it would that tranny be tough enough to handle a 1ton diesel? can anyone help much appreciated.

The bellhousing pattern is different for a diesel transmission vs small block gas engine. Same for the Big Block gas engine. No adapters that I am aware of.

welcome to FTE.

short answer is no it will not work. the only trans that will bolt to your powerstroke is another 7.3 powerstroke diesel trans.
