Trunk in the bed?

I saw this piece on eBay and think it will cost too much to get it out to CA. I was curious if others had any luck using vintage furniture or toolboxes to match their truck and have some storage??? If so, can you share?

That's a beautiful looking chest. Very solid at 75 lbs. Imo too nice to leave in the bed of a pickup unless you took it out every night.

You must have bought the deluxe version, Abe. I usually need to duct tape the lid on.

Joe, Really like the footlocker.
Also like the spare tire carrier. That is something that I am looking to add to the F 3.

one for Abe

Hi Abe:

I like the look of this one and it's in your state for local pickup only. Was thinking 3-4 carriage bolts and a medium duty lock just as a deterrent. My grandfather always said, "a lock keeps an honest man honest".

That's it Harrier, I'm thinking vintage tool box, ammo box, foot locker. Glad to see as usual someone thought about this before me .

Thanks,

John

That one was just an idea. Yes a bit shiny for my taste

My truck has to live in a garage, so this is for short periods of parking in public. Hold the jack and some groceries type of plan.

Thanks, Wallace, but I'm am not interested in a wooden trunk for my truck, although that is a nice one. Phoenixville or King of Prussia are about 190 miles away. Thanks!
