For those who have Sync 3 and iPhone with FordPass app, if you update to 11.2.5 version (released recently), it will break SYNC apps such as FordPass, Pandora, and other SYNC apps in iPhone. I use USB connection.
I have 11.2.5 and the Ford Pass icon doesn’t show up on app list screen in my truck. I borrowed my wife iPhone that had 11.2.2 version. The FordPass icon shows up just fine. I then updated her iPhone to 11.2.5. Now it is not showing up anymore.
So if you use iPhone and SYNC 3 but did not update, I suggest to wait until FordPass is fixed first.
I tested SYNC version 2.3 and 3.0 and had same problem.
I posted this a while back. It’s definitely the software. I was on 11.2.5 Beta and experienced the same issues. Got rid of it and the problem was gone.
Funny that I still have 11.2.2 and didn't get the software update auto notification. If I check Software Update, 11.2.5 does indeed show up as available.
I'll probably hold off for now but it wouldn't really affect me. I rarely plug the phone into USB and FordPass just isn't that useful of an app for me. The one time I did use it last year to schedule a service appointment the information somehow didn't get through to the dealer.
I think FordPass over USB is required to support Vehicle Health. I got my truck last month and have not yet prompted to send monthly report. Its already set for monthly report.
Some members on this forum may value few third party iOS apps that supports SYNC such as Pandora (can play via bluetooth anyway), Ford+Alexa, SpeedPass+, Accuweather, etc.
Waze is supposed to be updated very soon to display Waze on Sync 3 screen (Woo hoo).
Many do not care. Each individuals has their own preferences.
After learning that Apple slows down older iPhones, I refuse to install any iPhone update for fear of the update installing software to slow my phone down!

I wish the technology was here to display apps of my choosing via Bluetooth. I'm not a fan of having that cord dangling around.

Sorry to hear about your problem with the recent Apple upgrade.
I also upgraded my iPhone and iPad and the problems that you mentioned does not show up on my end.
Everything and the apps you mentioned are working and showing up on my screen.
1) Is your iPhone showing 11.2.5 version in SETTINGS/GENERAL/ABOUT?
2) Does FORDPASS icon shows up in APP menu on screen (The icon with 6 squares on bottom of SYNC 3)?
3) Are you connected via USB cable?
I have already done the Master Reset twice. No dice.
On 2nd iPhone (my wife's), she was on 11.2.2 version and I saw FordPass icon in Sync App area. I then upgraded her iPhone to 11.2.5, it now disappears in the app area. Now both my wife's and my iPhones do not work with FordPass.

Sooner or later you`re going to have to update.
Stop buying into the fear of what you hear or have read about iPhones slowing down because of updating.
