Flooding carbs, while stopped

My '68 f100 with 240 six was giving me trouble, if I parked with it off for more than ten or more it was hard to get started again, lots of grinding on the starter to clear it out, always started but a big pain to deal with all the time.
I had the carb apart a couple of times, all looked good, the neoprene end on the needle looked perfect, the seat perfect ... it's a problem.
Finally, I found Mike's Carb Shop online, wrote to them, they said send your carb numbers. I said there are no numbers, letters, nothing and no tag.
So, I took 5 pictures of the carb from all angles, sent that to them, they answered, said what it was/is, I ordered a new needle, it was eight bucks delivered, I put that in and wadda'ya know ... she works like NEW. No more flooding, it runs perfect.
My advice ... you have carb problems look up Mike's Carb Shop online, this guy and his crew know what these carbs are and how to fix them.
Always ... between the ditches ....

Yep, Mikes is the only place to go for me too. He will actually get on the phone himself and walk through the situation and has tone of videos on the net. Last time I called him I was on the phone with him for almost an hour, 45 minutes were just shooting the breeze about Northern California as he knows this area first-hand. Can’t beat that type of price and service anymore.

carbs and Mike's Shop

Right ON ... Mike's Shop IS the placed to go when you've got carb' problems, this guy is the best, he's on the ball and will help anybody, knows these carbs inside and out. I had no info, numbers or tag on mine, he could tell right away exactly which carb' I had, just from the pictures I took of the thing, still on the engine hooked up.
I'll guarantee there are dang few that can do this, Mike is one of kind, sent me the correct needle, truck runs perfect and NO MORE FLOODING !!!!
