Want to get the loudest horn possible that sounds like a truck without having to install a large compressor.
Is a really good horn possible?
Thanks!
What do you consider a large compressor?
I have a viair 444c mounted behind my rear seat of my extended cab with the tank mounted on the frame rail. Also bought hornblasters xl kit, I love both of them.
I have the Kleinn Air Horn SDKIT-734. My reason for choosing this was that they designed it to "bolt right in" on my '13 - they have a spot for the compressor/tank as well as the horns. Now I will warn you, there is "some assembly required" but if you follow the instructions you should be fine. An electrician I'm not, great at turning nuts and bolts. Once I had it installed I took it to a Boomer McLoud to have the wiring done. It's hooked up to upfitter switch 1. If the switch is on and I hit the horn - the air horn goes off, if the switch is off and I hit the horn, the normal horn blows. And it's loud, it's nickname is "the horn of death" cause it makes your heart jump.
Depending on what the laws in your state are you can run this.
I know that in MA it is legal as long as there is no siren.
It's electric - that's excellent. Wish I would have known about that when I bought my Kleinn. I do kind of like that I have a compressor and air tank on board, I have helped a damsel in distress or 2 - a prince I'm not
