Code Reader suspension light

I thought about buying a New Generation Star Tester but would like to know if there is anything out there that will work as good or better?

I know I can go to the parts store and get the P codes. I am looking to pull the Chassis codes. I want to be able to set ride height.

Thanks for the help.

The NGS Tester will allow you to set ride height IF you have the right service cards. Frequently, I see them being sold without all the service cards needed to use it to its full potential. I own one, and I bought all the cards for it from a company in Indiana. There isn't anything I can't do up to '04 vehicles.

Other products will allow you to pull codes and monitor data, but they will usually not let you change things. Snap-on is an option...but expensive. I'm sure there are others that cost lots of $.

Story of my life. The local Ford dealer is not helpful to DYI. The last time I had it to them cost me 80 dollars. Told me the sensor on the pump wasn't connected. In stead of putting it on and finishing the test, they stop and charged me.

I don't mind the 80 dollars if they did the full test. 30 minutes of shop time you would think they would at least put the plug on to finish the test.

Other option could be a Worldwide Diagnostic System (WDS) 418-F224. It replaced the NGS Tester at the Ford dealers.
