My 2017 started leaking oil from the upper oil pan gasket with only 1500 miles on it. Took it to the local dealer and they classified it as a "seep", not a leak, and therefore would not fix it under warranty. Said it needs to drip within 30 seconds of stopping the truck for it to be called a leak. What a crock! Took it to the dealer I purchased it from and they called it a "leak" and fixed it under warranty. Their head mechanic said he's done a bunch of these and it's from a known problem with the jig at Ford not getting the silicone right on one corner of the pan. I'm surprised that it's still a problem on the 2019 Trucks. Seems like it would be an easy fix for Ford to take care of; I'm sure they've spent a bunch on these warranty jobs, despite their efforts to get dealerships to deny the clams.
I guess the ultimate question is this, does the dealer fix actually "fix" the problem? If the plant jig isn't getting the silicone right, does this get corrected long-term when we get them repaired?

I would assume that would be a case by case basis, based on the mechanic doing the work. Like anything else

Well, I would assume it would be fixed for as long as any other gasket would last, as the problem is the jig not getting it right on one corner. It doesn't mean a lot, but I've got about 5500 miles and 6 months on it since then and it hasn't leaked yet.
I dropped something by the front of the truck yesterday and happened to glance up at the upper pan on mine. Its pretty caked on there and looks like it has been leaking for a bit. Will drop off at some point before the warranty goes. If a good service department takes a week turnaround for this; I better bake in at least 2 weeks for mine. At 30 bucks a day in a rental, its always a unplanned expense to get warranty work done.
Your dealership should be providing a loaner vehicle for you to drive while the truck is being repaired under warranty...
Thanks for the heads up everyone! Just checked my 2017 F350 after reading this thread. The truck has 34K on it now so it will get a trip to the shop asap.
Bedplate leaks were covered beyond the 3/36 for the old 6.0 (I had mine done at 4 years and 11 months), so I would think this would be as well.
That is what I figured. Mine has some oil on the outside edges, no dripping yet, but I am at 42k miles and will swing by the dealer to start the process. The warranty of the engine looks to cover gaskets and seals so I would think this would be covered, just don't know how fast the dealer will act given it is not dripping.
I have the same issue and I am outside my warranty. I'm almost certain that Ford knows about this issue. I advised my tech my truck was leaking and i get my oil change at the same dealer often. I then asked so you mean to tell my my oil started to leak since the last oil change. Of course they said yes of course. It's too many having the same issue. I have a 6.0 I drive daily and this truck doesn't leak. Not sure why a newer more superior motor supposedly leaks worst that a previous generation. I'll keep you guys posted on the repair bill.

Mine is going in this week for this. Said 2 days to fix. Everyone should definitely look before warranty runs out. Would like a stain on the floor about 1” around overnight. 2017 with 50000km
Took mine in this morning for a oil change etc. Told them about the oil stain and what I thought it could possibly be (,upper oil pan). Also told them to look at whatever bs fix they had for the block heater. Just got a call back from my service writer (friend of mine) said it was the front cover and for me to come pick it up in the morning and bring it back next next Monday so they could fix it. Said that it would take a few days, glad it's under warranty. Apparently the tech was in the middle of fixing another one with the same issue.
