Just lol.
It's not the cold (well, maybe). But when we have the precipitation, and it freezes, stupid people here get even stupider. Better to shut the city down than have them loose out there.

The TTA (Texas Truck Authority) is urging all Chevy owners to not turn their trucks off until warmer weather for fear they won't start back up.

It's the California transplants mostly. They've never seen ice or freedom before, guess you can't blame them for going a little crazy.

A few weeks ago when I was driving to work and the truck thermometer was reading -15 F, I was thinking that was good that the Ford engineers that did the cold weather testing when they designed the truck were not from Texas

18* in Pasadena. Old 6beater with 5 y/o motorcraft batteries barely started and my '96 mercury was frozen to the ground... Not to mention, ALL my playgrounds(Boneyards) are closed.... Sad day. Three days off and cant do anything because of a little cold....

Same here Cruiseomatic. 18 degrees this morning and hasn't budged yet. The sunshine is deceptively bright out there. It looks like a beautiful day, until you walk out and can't breathe 'cause your lungs freeze!

Pretty much. I'm in it now and it was so cold last night that 24 feels warm sadly... Hope the yards are open today since they shut down last night.... Little cold and everyone looses their ****.... Gotta ask them, How do the northerners survive? lol

Normal January day here. Should warm up to 10F around noon. 😁

I know you southern guys aren't prepared for the cold snap. The roads get real ugly with all of the idiots who try to get to work when they shouldn't. Our first snowfall usually weeds out the unprepared drivers.

Stay safe!

When I left for work yesterday afternoon I didn't know what to expect. I imagined a skating rink destruction derby. Then I heard the S word (salt) on the news so I left my 2015 at home and took my 38 year old Bronco. Got to do a 20F carburetor start this morning.
