New seats?

Hey folks,
Been a while since I dropped in here been a bit busy building a house so the truck is working hard but not getting much love, I did finally drop in some new inj,o-Rings and some glow plugs over the holidays.

Any how.. Our seats are getting beat beat and maybe Im just getting older but they are just not the comfortable any more.

Are there any good recommendations for new seat sets that dont cost a fortune?

Can I put in used SD seats with some mods? I have welder and such this week.

I would price out having an upholstery shop rebuild the seat[s].

Probably be comparable or better in price to any quality aftermarket seats and they will look like they belong there.

I second the vote for just repairing and rebuilding the foam and then recovering them.

A 3rd for rebuilding what you have or finding a decent set of 40/20/40s to have rebuilt.

The biggest problem with any newer seats is they will not allow access to the supercab like yours do

Thanks for the info! The problem with having them rebuilt is that the are some sort of 3rd party seat that just are not as comfy as the stock even worse they do not provide good access to the back of the cab, they only flip forward and do not slide and they barely like to fold forward. so getting to the back is a real pain so I was hopping to solve both problems at once.

but I will keep rebuilding in mind as a good option nothing else crops up.

It sounds like you need to locate a set of decent 40/20/40s and start over... Be sure they come from a super cab to get the correct tracks, unless you know your tracks are the right ones.

Is your truck a Mark III or something like that? Those often had seats kinda like custom vans.
