OK I stole the title from an old David Allen Coe song, But this old made from parts engine purrs like a kitten. At first it was really loud, but I found some mufflers out in the junk pile. So much quieter now and it almost runs silent. I ground and lapped the valves and adjusted them no less than 4 times because I wanted one of those flatheads that didn't look like it was running. In the spring it will be going in a tonner PU project (after the woodie is done)
looking nice gary!
gary maybe you can help me with my motor. the pcv kind of thing thats on the oïl pan. its missing all i have is a round hole in the front right side of oïl pan. should i worry about it ! leave it as is or maybe some kind of pipe or breather!

I usually need a technical assistant, so I'll get my son to shoot a video. And Bernette, I don't know about a hole in the pan. I think mine have a triangular stamped steel thing up front as a breather. Maybe someone can school us on what's up.
