have a 2013 Raptor, I’ve been kicking around some ideas, 10 speed, or a Gen 2 Coyote with a 10 speed? To me the 6.2 is a solid power plant, that I think could be better if kept in the meat of its power, the 10 speed does wonders for the eco, and the 5.0 liter had the 10 speed, why not the 6.2, just kicking out ideas.

Interfacing that engine and transmission into a common PCM would be practically impossible. Hope you're REAL good at writing computer code! I have a '13/150 with the 6.2/6-speed combo and I have never come anywhere close to feeling I need tighter gear spacing. The gear overlap (relative to the power curve of that engine) is huge. It would be cheaper and easier to buy a new '18 Raptor.

I don’t want a 3.5 Raptor. I’m thinking if the 10r80 would work, I could drop down to 4.56 or 4.88 and still have great Highway manners, as well as be in the meatier part of the 6.2’s power range. If it’s undoable at all I’d go with the 5.0 Coyote direct injection before I’d buy new. This truck is paid off, I’d rather work it over verse having payments again.

The stock 4.10’s. My 2012 still is running 35’s and once I went to the 37’s it felt like I lost about 50 hp.

The 10r80 would eliminate the need to go to lower gearing.

The overdrive ratio is the same as the 6r80 it just has more gears in between. It has 3 overdriven gears to choose from, but the final is nearly the same.
