M5OD to 4 Speed?

Hey guys. I was just thinking there my friend and I were talking about a truck we can get for $500 and we were wondering if a 4 speed borg warner would be better than a 5 speed mazda. I've got 3.55 gears with a posi and 33" tires. Right now I feel like 3rd is too high and forth won't make it up a hill. Would I be seeing some more snap with this 4 speed rather than a crappy mazda 5 speed? Just looking for driveability. For me highway cruising is slow. I drive more on the street than on the highway. Thanks.
