Tranny Noise,

As long as the shifting is ok and nothing odd sounding other than the whine, I'd suggest a fluid and filter change and see what you get. Might want to get it done by one of the quick lube places that actually evacuate most all of the fluid from the tranny and converter via suction rather than just draining the tranny and refilling. That way you know all of the fluid gets replaced with new fresh stuff. The drain and fill method misses all of the fluid trapped in the converter. Just an option to consider and since your shift points are ok and the shifting feels normal this may be all it needs. Be sure to check for leaks too...tranny cooler lines up to the radiator and if equipped, auxiliary tranny cooler lines are all potential leak points. If fluid can get out, air and crud can get in.
